Playground Central!

So Jer and I decided to buy a swing-set for our backyard. Did we buy it prematurely? I don't think so considering we don't know any of the neighbors with swing-sets in their backyards, the playgrounds in our area are not exactly in the safe parts of town or near civilization, and Andrew absolutelty loves the swing. Yes we know he can't exactly use the rest of it yet, but he'll grow into it, we are not moving anytime soon (Lord willing), we would have bought one in the next couple of years, and it will last us many years to come.
We actually found this swing-set at Wal-mart for a steal! Of course nothing was labeled (except the bags of hardware), we had to measure everything to make sure we had the right parts for each step, and only half of it was pre-drilled. The directions said it would take between 10-12 hours to put together, and it took about 10-12 hours to do it. So after a lot of sweat (and a lot of working together) we got it up and working!

Here is Andrew in his new swing on his new playground!!! Yay!!! After swinging for awhile Jer tried to take him out and Andrew wouldn't let go of the swing, he was acting as if he wanted to stay in it all day!!

Wow! I know what an endeavor putting up a swing set is! That's great that you guys bought it though- I'm sure that Andrew will get lots of playing time out of it... I know my kids do :-)

Good for you guys! He will enjoy it and you will enjoy being able to walk out in your backyard for him to play. It looks like a nice one. You guys did a great job in getting it up.

That looks great :) No doubt it took a lot of patience and TEAMWORK (too much Wonder Pets) ;) Hope you all enjoy it this summer!

Oh I don't think you put it up prematurely at all. Those are no easy task to erect for sure but he will grow into it and love it and have hours of fun! Perfect that summer is around the corner too. It looks like you guys have a lot of good land for Andrew to explore in. He is just so sweet.
