Irene- Part 2

As most of you already know, we made out fine after hurricane Irene came through. We were hit with the major part of the storm overnight. The only close call came around 9:15 pm, Saturday night; we had a tornado touch down about 5 miles north of us in town. We spent the next 30-45 minutes down in our basement. Jer was on the phone with friends of ours near us who were watching and listening to all the news, as well as our neighbors whom related to us that the tornado had worked its way away from us. We then moved ourselves back upstairs, to spend the rest of the night on the floor of our family room. We were very fortunate that we ended up with no damage to anything. We ended up with a lot of wind and rain. There was flooding throughout town but none near us. So, thanks and praise be to Jesus! Everyone, thank you for all of your prayers. God bless!
