As many of you know, this afternoon the east coast was hit with an earthquake. Now for those on the west coast, this earthquake was just like any other Tuesday in California, but for those out here on the east coast it is big news! Of course Jer and I are no strangers to earthquakes; however, having an earthquake and being able to feel it, while living in Jersey is quite shocking (literally). It was rather funny when it happened. I was watching two kids, along with Andrew, at the time. The littlest was down for is afternoon nap, while Andrew and the older were with me in our family room having quiet time (designated for our movie time). We were sitting on the couches when all of the sudden they began to shake (as if someone were moving a lot on the cushions or if Andrew were jumping up and down on the couch). As I sat there, I thought to myself, "is Andrew bouncing a lot?,...no he is laying down. Our air conditioner kicked on not to long ago,..no it has never made the couch shake like this...maybe the washer or dryer is bouncing? no that is just silly talk". After all this contemplating, I thought maybe we just had an earthquake. About 5-10 minutes later Jer called me and asked, "Did you feel that?" I couldn't believe, all the time and times living on the east coast we never felt an earthquake, until now. I say, why not? Two years ago we had a tornado touch down in our town, bringing with it horizontal crazy weather,.. when we lived in Ocean City we had to deal with massive flooding,..what's next, fires? landslides? Well, all this said, we were very fortunate, no real damage that we can find, nothing broken, nobody injured that we know. Today was just "another Tuesday". We shall see what tomorrow brings!
