We had the opportunity to take Andrew to the train museum up by grandma and grandpa. Of course, going to grandma and grandpa's meant getting to spend time with them and Bodie, too! After Bodie's baseball game (his team won) we went out for lunch then over to the museum. We got to walk around and look at a number of trains, train parts, passengers, and history on the locomotive. The roundhouse is only partially original, much of it was destroyed at some time, so it was restored and now makes up the museum. The museum house a number of trains, too.
They had a train ride that you could go on, it was about a half hour long. We managed to get there for the last one of the day, so afterwards they put the train back in the roundhouse. We stayed after to watch! Andrew is really big into trains right now (not any kind specifically, any train will do), we don't watch Thomas, we watch Chuggington. Everywhere we go Andrew is able to locate trains, train tracks, and train crossings. He won't say train, but he is constantly saying "Woo, woo, chug, chug...!" everytime we go by any of these or if he sees one anywhere (tv, online, hears one, etc). His birthday this year will be a combination of Toy Story and trains (he is as obsessed with Buzz and all things Toy Story as he is of trains).
Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa for taking us all! Thanks Bodie for hanging out with Andrew, he loves playing with you!
