Christmas with the Tenio's and LaCoe's!

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my family and Christmas with Jeremy's family. Being such, we have a lot of family to visit during the Christmas week. We have fun visiting and catching up with all of them, since we don't live right around the corner.
There is one major tradition in the Lacoe family, the passing of the ugly candle to another acceptable candidate. Each year, one lucky winner is chosen to house and place the candle in an honorable location within their home. The candle is displayed for the full year, until the next Christmas when it is once again passed on to another worthy opponent within the family. Also with it comes the responsibility to keep the box and all of the letters written that come with it until the next year, too. Every year the person who recieves it must write a letter about how they housed the candle, how honored they were to have it in their home, etc, etc... Their letter is added to the letters from prior years and passed on with the candle to the next person. I recieved it the first year we were married. This year, Jeremy's cousin got it. Here he is with it in his hand, looking so "excited"! Jeremy's Grandma had it this past year and came up with a clever poem as her letter. It was very cute!!

We also got together with the Tenio's. Andrew loves Carly and paled around with her all night. He had a blast playing with her. He is still the youngest in the family, so he opens his gifts first on both sides. He had a blast running around and playing with the family.

We also went over to Andrew's Grandma and Grandpa's daycare. We went to the big Christmas party that they put on every year for all of their kids. Andrew had a great time running around with all the kids. He was quite at home with them all. He wasn't to thrilled about sitting the Santa though...he doesn't like him very much!
