National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

Our last day in DC we went down near the Airport to check out the National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. Here are a few highlights from that trip!

The Entrance

Transformers memorabilia

Sector 7

The All Spark

One Funky Plane

The First Federal Express Plane

The Plane that dropped the Bomb

A Reminder of Sept 11th (a piece of the Pentagon)

The SR-71

US Space Shuttle

Proof that we were there!

Inside view of the thing that carries the astronauts from space back down to Earth

Missiles

A REALLY funky satellite

We also had the opportunity to stop in and see our friends the Myrkalo's who lived not far out of DC for a couple days. They were extremely gracious hosts! Thank you so much Jerry and Jenelle! You made the end of our trip wonderfully relaxing!

Jenelle making dinner

Jer and Jerry playing video games

Outside their home!

This is what we got to see coming over the bridge back into Jersey! Ah...cloudy skies! We had a wonderful trip. Not bad for our first family vacation, eh?!
