Decorating!

I couldn't remember if I had posted pics from when Jer and I started painting and working on the walls in the dining room or not, so I figured I would just repost them (so everyone could see before and after shots!). The first pic is from when Jer started the construction (decorative)elements of our wainscoting, backard, chairrail, and crown molding. The second pic is when this part was done. The third pic is after we finished painting everything! The red we chose only required one coat! We ended up doing two coats anyway (just to cover up a few lightly hit spots, no primer!), but not bad for such a dark red color!

So here is the final product of the dining room! We plan on eventually replacing our table and recovering the chairs. I want to get some dark tan and black checkered curtains for it too. There are still more elements to finish the room entirely, but we don't use the room that often yet anyway, so we aren't worried about it. Anyway, hope you all enjoyed seeing our renevations!
Oh yeah, I realize that the people in the picture frames are total strangers..we have to find a place that will make a picture that big! I want to fill it with a pic of Jer, Andrew, and me but no luck so far! The pic size is 11 by 14. Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, I finally got some valances for our sunroom! It wasn't exactly what I was thinking, but they matched our table linen almost perfectly, and what I had imagined may not have worked out anyway. Also, the price was perfect!!!

Wow, Kris. It looks amazing! The red is so sharp looking with the wainscoting. We were thinking of something similar for our dining room (if we ever get around to it ;-). You and Jeremy did a great job.

You guys did a great job, Kris and Jer! Love the red. Funny thing about the pic's~ for a sec I thought it might be your dad but wondered who the woman might be, then I realized you more than likely didn't know who they were either. Then I read what you wrote. HAHA!
A great place to get pic's made into any size is mpics.com they make beautiful prints, and huge sizes too.
Miss you!
