Mommy and Baby Girl!!!
So, yesterday, at about 3:00am Amber woke me up saying it was time to head to the hospital. She had been having contractions all night, and they were very regular from 2 to 3. We had asked our shepherding group leaders, the Sundts, to watch the boys if we had to go to the hospital before Amber's mom arrived...so we called them at around 3:45. We pulled the boys out of bed and headed over to the Sundts'. The boys seemed excited to be there, and Micah really didn't want to go to bed again. It sounds like they really enjoyed their time with the Sundt kids! So, at 2:47pm yesterday, Verity Ruth Kolmus was born. She weighed 8.0 pounds and was 20.5 inches long. She has dark hair! Amber was able to have a successful VBAC again. There was a point in the process where it seemed like the VBAC may not work, but she was able to push through it. She did great! Here's a picture of the entire family last night and a few from this morning:

Amber's mom had made a flight reservation about a month ago to be here to help. The flight was to arrive at 1:54pm on February the 4th! So, her mom was at the hospital just before Verity was born. She was able to see her about 15 minutes after she was born!So we thank God for a safe delivery and a healthy mother and daughter. Please pray for us as we leave "man-on-man" and enter "zone" defense. We're looking forward to God's plan for our family.
